Ballara Receptions is located at the foothills of the Yarra Valley in Melbourne, providing an amazing backdrop for your dream wedding day.
The estate has so many photo opportunities that there is no need for you to go-offsite to capture all those moments from your special day. Our lake provides the perfect backdrop for our waterfall, lakeside jetty, swing, and gazebo. While amongst the gardens you can also find giant rustic LOVE letters, rose arbours, stone wall corner and more. By night, be enchanted by the thousands of fairy lights! The courtyard adjoining the reception room will wow your guests as the lights twinkle away and being so close makes it easier to steal a couple of moments during your reception. To the other side of the ballroom, guests can overlook the beautifully lit lake and sparkling gazebo. With a festoon lit deck also a few steps away.
You might also like to hold your ceremony at Ballara so that everything is in the one easy location for you and your guests, reducing unnecessary hassle and stress on the day. Our stunning chapel has soaring ceilings with rustic timber beams and sparkling chandeliers. Timber pew seating will hold 100 guests with further standing room for an additional 60 guests. Heating and cooling throughout makes this space perfect for all seasons or whatever weather Melbourne throws at you on your wedding day.
Alternatively you might like a garden wedding! Our gazebo or courtyard are the most popular location selections. With seating for 60 guests and standing space for a further 100 people. No matter which of these 3 locations you opt for, we have sound systems for your music and microphones, aisle flowers and decorations as well as an option for a red carpet.
We do have the option to hold just your ceremony at Ballara too and have smaller spaces at the lakeside garden and lakeside jetty if you are having a more intimate service.
