With another series of MAFS on our airwaves it’s always fascinating to watch from the perspective of a wedding supplier in Melbourne. Married at First Sight 2022 is not failing to disappoint!

From wedding venues to bridal couture, hair and makeup to ceremonies and styling (you get the drift!), we love to see what others are doing for their weddings. As Melbourne Celebrant Julie for over 14 years, and with 850 weddings celebrated, I can always get new ideas and suggestions to discuss with my couples, and Married at First Sight 2022 is providing us with a lot of great inspiration.

Despite all the wedding ceremony locations for MAFS 2022 taking place in New South Wales, it doesn’t mean that we can’t get ideas for similar places here in Victoria to get married. The ceremonies are always so picturesque, inviting and Pinterest-worthy, not unlike so many Melbourne wedding locations.

Here are the venues where this year’s MAFS couples tied the knot:

Holly & Andrew | Curzon Hall, Sydney, NSW.

Cody & Selina | Sweven Estate, Cattai, NSW.

Jackson & Olivia | State Library, Sydney, NSW.

Al & Samantha | Vaucluse House, Sydney, NSW.

Selin & Anthony | The Sydney Polo Club, Richmond NSW

Tamara & Brent | Carriageworks, Sydney, NSW.

Domenica & Jack | Silvergum Stables, Helensburgh, NSW.

Ella & Mitch | Curzon Hall, Sydney, NSW.

MAFS Style in Melbourne…

MAFS 2022 - Wedding Ceremony Locations - Witchmount Estate

Let’s look at Selin and Anthony (pictured above) who tied the knot at The Sydney Polo Club located in Richmond, NSW. It’s stunning views and ceremony were breathtaking. A similar venue located out the western suburbs of Melbourne is Witchmount Estate (pictured left). Recently refurbished Witchmount Estate spans 6 hectares of vineyard. The estate encapsulates a variety of event spaces, both outdoor and indoor, as well as gorgeous views of the lake, vineyard, and landscaped courtyards. It could be the perfect choice for your wedding.

It’s also not unlike Zonzo Estate Yarra Valley, which is located in the beautiful Yarra Valley in the outer east outskirts of Melbourne. The Yarra Valley boasts many wedding venues with a variety of styles, guest numbers and photo opportunities. A Zonzo wedding means you’ll have a chance to marry in the Cappellea (chapel) or in front of the scenic vines and mountains. They have plenty of packages to suit your needs.

Samantha and Al’s wedding (pictured left) took place at Vaucluse House in Sydney, with classic styling and grounds. It was decorated to perfection. This elegantly-styled wedding with its flowers and candles is similar to the feel of Ballara Receptions (pictured below). Family-owned and operated, this venue cares deeply about your wedding and creating perfection. The classic chapel, filled with stained glass windows, is a wonderful indoor ceremony option. The lake and the English garden are also quaint outdoor options. It boasts 6 location options for marrying your loved one. The ballroom is enchanting for your celebratory reception, with so many opportunities to create your own personalised style or vibe.

Of course, all the other couples’ wedding venues share similarities to those in Victoria, but I have highlighted our members here today.

So, don’t panic if you saw your dream wedding venue on MAFS in 2022 and you live in Melbourne. There are similar venues everywhere who would love to celebrate your wedding day.
