There are so many spots within the Royal Botanic Gardens in South Yarra that could be used as a beautiful marriage ceremony location! Located just off Punt Road, The famous Tan Running Track circles the outside of the gardens.
You’ll find this location by putting the address Birdwood Ave, South Yarra VIC 3141 into your navigator, don’t worry there’s ample parking right around the gardens. With park benches placed everywhere inside, you’ll also find a number of gazebos around the place for extra shelter. There are toilets located frequently throughout the gardens, with male, female and disabled options. After taking a walk right around today, we can report these toilets are kept clean with plenty of toilet paper available! There is no cost to take a walk around, and there is a nice café/ restaurant operating called The Terrace Café.
The Royal Botanic Gardens is easily accessible from public transport. Trams on St Kilda Road will take you close to the west entrance of the gardens. You can also walk 1.3 km to get there from South Yarra station. The gardens opens at 7.30am and closes at 5pm every day.
With 50,000 individual plants growing, there are many lovely areas perfect to use for your Melbourne Ceremony location. There are also many different views of the stunning lake, which make the Royal Botanic Gardens a picturesque place for a wedding!
